SEGi University is one of the earliest established and a highly respected and leading private higher educational institution in Malaysia with its flagship campus strategically located on a 10 acre site at Kota Damansara. The campus is very accessible by the newly built Kota Damansara MRT Station at our doorstep. The purpose built campus offers a comprehensive range of programmes from Foundation Studies to Undergraduate and Postgraduate Degrees. With students from more than 90 different countries, the University is indeed a melting pot of cultural diversity, providing our learners to supplement their pursuit of knowledge and develop a greater understanding and appreciation of the complexity and richness of the human and cultural experience.
The campus also boasts of 14 Faculties and Schools with one Research and Innovative Management Centre. The Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Optometry and Vision Sciences, the Faculty of Dentistry, the Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Engineering & the Built Environment, the Faculty of Business, Accounting & Management, the Faculty of Communication & Creative Design, the Faculty of Education, Graduate School of Business, Institute of Graduate Studies, School of Information Technology, School of Hospitality & Tourism, Centre for Pre-University Studies and Centre for Languages.
Among some of the comprehensive teaching facilities are SEGi Oral Health Centre and Rotary-SEGi Eye Care, to name a few. The campus is a short distance to a vibrant commercial centre complete with shopping malls, banks and entertainment spots, accessible using public transport services.
Adjacent to SEGi Tower is the SEGi Residence, a 25 floor condominium for student accommodation. SEGi students have the luxury of having their campus just a few steps away from home, thus saving time and money on travelling. Convenience stores located in the adjacent commercial centre and at Cova Square, as well as the sports and recreation facilities on SEGi University campus make campus life a complete and exciting learning experience.
The University’s 380+ academic staff members are highly rated by our students and this was confirmed in the recent 2017 QS Stars Ratings where we achieved the maximum 5 stars for excellence in teaching. Many of our academics have extensive international working experience in industry and tertiary institutions and some of them are involved in advisory roles in professional bodies and various committees. By bringing their vast experiences into the classroom, our academics provide an exhilarating learning environment for our students as they balance academic studies with industrial applications.
The University is also expanding its global collaborations by partnering with reputable foreign universities, research institutes and leading multi-national companies, thus enhancing opportunities for our students and staff to participate in research and development, mobility programmes, industry attachments and placements.
